“I was glad when my mother and my uncles told me that we would leave the country. We had so many problems there and I wanted to get away from them. I liked school, but sometimes, my father was waiting for me after class and tried to take me away from my mother. I was scared of him. So, I stayed with my mother, helped her at her furniture store, and didn’t go to school during my last two years in Iran. I just wanted to have a peaceful life, nothing more. When we came to Greece and had problems there too, my mother considered going back to Iran. I begged her to go on. I said that we didn’t come so far just to give up and start from zero again.
The way here was difficult and we were walking for days and days, over mountains and through jungles. It was very hard for all of us, especially for my mother. She had injuries all over her body.
But we made it!
I like Austria. The only bad thing that has happened to me was a couple of days ago, when a dog bit my leg while I was skateboarding. Other than that, everything is great!â€
